Easter Trains
Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad • Elbe to Mineral
Celebrate Easter with a train ride between Elbe and Mineral, Washington. Pulled by a historic locomotive, Easter Trains travel through the foothills near Mount Rainier with views of the Nisqually River, surrounding forests, and (on a clear day) a glimpse of Mount Rainier along the way.
This experience combines a scenic train ride with time off the train at the railroad’s site in Mineral, WA before returning to Elbe. The day is structured to feel relaxed, organized, and easy for families.
The train ride
Passengers board in Elbe and travel by enclosed, comfortable coaches with open seating. Guests may move freely throughout the train during the ride, including visiting the open air car for fresh mountain air, stopping by the concession car for refreshments, or using onboard restrooms as needed.
The pace is unhurried, making it easy to enjoy the scenery and the experience together.
Easter activities in Mineral
After arriving in Mineral, Easter Train passengers enjoy a one-hour layover at the outdoor museum event campus. Activities include:
• Easter egg hunt
• Games and activities for kids
• Photos with the Easter Bunny
• Time to explore the event site
Following the layover, passengers reboard the train for the return trip to Elbe.
