About the Vacation Rental
Maybe it’s the quilts on the bed, the lace in the windows, or the surroundings in historic Wilkeson but the Miners House feels like a comfortable stay in your Grandmother’s vacation rental. Clean, light, and airy this 3 bedroom, and 2 bathroom, two story Miners House has enough space to comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.
The main floor has a kitchen, dining room with seating for 6, and a living room with 55″ TV. Also on the main floor is a large bathroom with a guest washer and dryer. Upstairs guests will find 3 separate bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two bedrooms each have a queen size bed.
When you book the Miners House you have full access to the house, covered porch, fire pit and a large yard. Coming to the area to bike the Carbon River Road? The inside entrance to the vacation rental is spacious enough to store bicycles.
About the Location
The Miners House is located across the street from the Miner’s Memorial. Though the vacation rental has a kitchen you’re within easy walking of famous restaurants. The Simple Goodness Sisters Soda Shop has been featured on national media for their farm to glass syrups used in their cocktails and mocktails and desserts. The soda shop hosts a series of events with live entertainment throughout the year and offers delicious food for breakfast or lunch during the summer and early fall. The Seattle Times called the Carlson Block pizzeria the best pizza in Washington state. The artisan sourdough crust and woodfired pizza lives up to the hype. But get there early at 3:00 PM when they open (if you can) because this place is so popular they sell out often.
Also nearby is Nomad PNW with the best hot bean water (coffee) in all of Carbon Country. Guests can choose to stroll down the street to see the whimsical eggs and bacon skate park or shop for souvenirs at Happy Sew Co. You’re just minutes from the Carbon Glacier Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, home to an inland temperate rainforest.
Area Activities
Guests of the Miners House are a short drive from hiking trails at the Carbon Glacier and Green Lake trails in Mount Rainier National Park. Trails outside the park provide additional options such as the Foothills Trail, and Melmont Ghost Town.
