NORTHWEST TREK’S KEEPER ADVENTURE TOURS HAVE REOPENED

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is reopening its Keeper Adventure Tours on Friday, Aug. 14, with timed online tickets and enhanced safety protocols designed to help guests connect up close with wildlife while staying safe and healthy. Timed online tickets will go on sale on Aug. 10.
The 90-minute Keeper Adventure Tours take guests aboard an open-air Jeep on paved roads rarely traveled, on gravel tracks, and occasionally off-road to see bison, moose, mountain goats, elk, deer, swans and more in the park’s 435-acre Free-Roaming Area.
If guests book now, they can see Northwest Trek’s baby animals and experience the bison “rut” or breeding season, with grunts, rolls in the dirt, and sparring between the bulls.
“We are thrilled to reopen yet another part of the Northwest Trek experience to our community,” said Deputy Director Rick Dietz. “Now, more than ever, it’s important to offer these safe, exciting adventures in nature. Guests can hop aboard our Jeep not quite knowing what they’ll experience, and they’ll step off with a new appreciation for bison, moose, mountain goats, and other native Northwest animals.”
Enhanced Safety Protocols
Northwest Trek is following all public health and safety guidelines for Phase 2 of Gov. Jay Inslee’s Safe Start plan.
- Up to five people can ride in the open-air Jeep during a tour. All guests must be from the same household.
- Advance online tickets are required.
- Guests ages 5 and over are required to wear face coverings throughout the tour.
- The tour guide and guests are separated by a clear, protective barrier in the Jeep.
- The tour guide will clean and disinfect the Jeep following every tour.
- Hand sanitizer is available on the Jeep for all guests.
Tour Details
- The premier Keeper Adventure Tour costs $400 for up to five people and includes admission to Northwest Trek’s Wild Walk.
- Tours are offered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Other Wildlife Adventures
Northwest Trek reopened to the general public on June 18 for Wild Walk. Guests can walk one-way paths to see lumbering grizzlies, majestic bald eagles, playful otters, grey wolves, and more.
Northwest Trek also continues to offer Wild Drive. Guests can drive their own vehicles through the 435-acre Free-Roaming Area to see moose, mountain goats, bison, and more.
