Located in the foothills of Mount Rainier in the small community of Greenwater, Washington the Crystal Moon Cabin is ideal for guests who enjoy vacations with abundant outdoor recreation and scenic drives.
Rustic yet comfortable vibe
The spiral staircase, vaulted ceilings, exposed timbers, and massive stone fireplace offer a “wilderness retreat” ambiance. The main floor has space for guests to spread out in the kitchen, living room, family room, and dining area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs. The cabin has two full bathrooms and a third with a shower. Fresh linens and towels are provided. The two full bedrooms are supplemented with a bunk room, featuring two twin bunk beds, perfect for the kids. The rustic charm of the living room’s massive stone fireplace (propane powered) is especially nice in the evenings. In good weather, enjoy a morning coffee and an evening glass of wine on the deck while watching for wildlife. Deer and elk will wander past this remote property often.
The grounds outside offer a picnic table and fire pit. Inside there’s a woodstove and fireplace. An assortment of board games and books are available. The usual occupancy is 6 people for the cabin, however, by using a futon and bunks can be stretched to 11.
The cabin is 20 miles from Washington’s largest ski resort, Crystal Mountain
Crystal Mountain Resort is a popular location in the winter and summer seasons. When the weather cooperates there can be a brief window of spring skiing. Ski, snowboard, and snowshoe, and enjoy scenic gondola rides at Crystal. In the summer the cabin is just 6 miles from the White River Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park with easy access to incredible hiking and stargazing at Sunrise. In spring and fall consider exploring Federation Forest State Park or hiking or mountain biking some of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest trails. Looking for a scenic drive? Dogs are welcome with an additional per dog, per night fee
Maximum two dogs. Looking for dog-friendly hikes? You’ll find them at Crystal Mountain Resort in the summer season, as well as in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, and Federation Forest State Park.
