Alder Lake Camping
Alder Lake Park sits about 10 miles south of Eatonville, Washington, on the northern end of Alder Lake. This scenic recreation area welcomes the public for camping, boating, swimming, fishing, water skiing, and day use.
The park features four campgrounds—Main, Osprey, Elk Plain, and Rocky Point—along with a group camp. In addition, just beyond the main entrance, visitors will find Sunny Beach Point, a 9-acre day-use area, and Rocky Point Campground, a quieter location roughly 4 miles east.
Camping Information
Alder Lake Park provides 173 campsites spread across five areas. Campers can choose from tent sites, RV sites with partial or full hookups, and a 35-site group camp with water, electric, and sewer connections. Each site includes a picnic table and either a fire ring or grill.
Reservation Details
From May 15 to September 15, campsites can be reserved up to nine months in advance. During the off-season—from September 16 to May 14—all individual sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis. However, the park closes briefly from December 20 to January 1 each year.
Outdoor Activities
In addition to camping, visitors take advantage of the lake for boating, personal watercraft, swimming, and water skiing—when conditions allow. Anglers often fish for kokanee salmon, trout, bass, crappie, and perch.
