Big Creek flows right in the backyard, offering a soothing backdrop to your stay. Savor the view from the balcony, roast marshmallows around the fire pit, or unwind in the 8-person hot tub. The outdoor space includes a hammock, BBQ grill, and cornhole for endless enjoyment.

With four bedrooms and a bonus room, this cabin has space for up to 12 guests.

  • Main Floor: Two queen bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
  • Upstairs: Two king bedrooms, one with a private balcony overlooking Big Creek.
  • Bonus Room: Two built-in daybeds in the game room for extra sleeping options.

Entertainment Indoors and Out

Inside, challenge your crew to pool or table tennis in the game room. Outside, trails, a community lake for fishing, and a picnic area are all within walking distance. Whether you’re staying in or heading out, fun is always close at hand.

Bring Your Dogs Along

Dogs are welcome (up to two, age 2+ years) with pet fees and a few simple rules:

  • Keep them off the furniture and out of bedrooms.
  • Use a crate when leaving them unattended.
  • Always leash them outdoors and clean up after them.

Please note that pets are not allowed on trails at Mount Rainier National Park. Visitors can crate their dogs at the cabin (crates not provided) while they hike or inquire about local pet-sitting services, such as the Ashford Park Bark Group.

Mountain Life Essentials

Mountain living comes with unique perks and quirks. While rare, power outages during storms are possible but typically short. Flashlights and blankets are provided just in case. Seasonal outdoor amenities like the grill and patio furniture may not be available in winter. Optional extras, including snowshoes, trekking poles, and firewood bundles, are available to enhance your stay.

Rainier River Retreat Policies

Pet Policies

  • Up to two dogs (2+ years old) are allowed per stay.
  • Pet fees: $60 for the first dog (included in reservation); $50 for the second dog (separate payment).
  • No other animals or pets are permitted.
  • A $250 fee will be assessed for unregistered dogs.
  • Dogs are allowed only on hard surface areas (kitchen and family room).
  • Dogs are not allowed in bedrooms or lofts.
  • Dogs must be crated if left unattended.
  • Dogs must be leashed when outdoors and kept off neighbors’ properties.
  • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs (inside and outside).
  • Extra blankets and sofa covers are provided if dogs cannot stay off furniture.

General Policies

  • Infants count toward the maximum occupancy.
  • Only registered guests are allowed on the property; no visitors are permitted.
  • The property is located in a mountain neighborhood with a mix of vacation homes and local residences.

Mountain Location Considerations

  • Power outages may occur during storms and typically last 2-3 hours.
  • Flashlights and extra blankets are provided.
  • Refunds for nightly fees are available if guests choose to check out during an outage.
  • Guests who stay during an outage will be charged the full booking amount.

Hot Tub Policies

  • Hot tub chemicals are balanced twice a week; the technician will be onsite for about 15 minutes.
  • The hot tub is typically usable 30 minutes after servicing but may take 4-5 hours to reheat after a water change.
  • Hot tub use is not recommended for guests with certain medical conditions, skin sensitivities, or children.
  • Consult with your doctor before using the hot tub if necessary.

Seasonal Outdoor Amenities

  • Outdoor amenities like the grill, patio furniture, and hammocks may not be available in winter or pristine condition.

Fees are paid directly to the owner via Stripe and subject to availability:

  • Snowshoe rental: $25/set.
  • Trekking poles: $15.
  • Firewood bundle (includes kindling and a large bundle of firewood): $20.
