About the Accommodations
Guests can choose from nine unique rooms and suites, each decorated with gorgeous William Morris wallpapers. Both light and dark hues of the designer wallpaper play well with natural light to provide an ambiance that drives home the point, this is no boring cookie-cutter hotel. Each room and suite is thoughtfully designed and named after a local hiking trail. Five hotel suites have private bathrooms with tiled showers. Four have access to two shared bathrooms and showers just a few steps down the second-floor hall. Each guest bathroom in the main hotel features iconic classic black and white hex tile floors and subway tile showers.
For over a century visitors to Packwood pulled up a chair on the inviting veranda. Once you see the space you can understand why. From this vantage point, guests can watch the local elk herd, take in views of Rainier and enjoy the sweetness of mountain life. Today the tradition continues with updated amenities and modern conveniences like WIFI. The covered porch space continues to be an ideal spot for guests to gather. The hotel has two main floors. Eight of the guest rooms and suites are on the hotel’s second floor, with the ninth in the adjacent ground-floor cabin. Each room accommodates one or two guests. Please note, occupancy is firm, no cots or cribs are available at this time. Second-floor rooms and suites are all accessed by stairs. There is no elevator in the Historic Hotel Packwood.
