Dog Lake Fishing

Season: Jan – Late-Dec | Lake Size: 61 acres

Dog Lake is located just east of White Pass along the northern side of Highway 12. Located in the Wenatchee National Forest, this high elevation lake is considered by many to be a good beginners lake. It’s open year-round although it’s best to wait until the ice and snow melt which is typically mid to late May or early June. Fishermen and women tell us Dog Lake doesn’t start producing well until early June. Fishing is good throughout the summer for 7- to 10-inch rainbow and brook trout. The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest service operates a small campground on the southern shores of Dog Lake. There is a boat launch located near the lake.

For more information about fishing at Dog Lake please visit the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife website.
