Washington Wine Express
This experiential wine tasting journey on the Milwaukee Road travels through the forests and foothills of Mt. Rainier. Passengers enjoy award-winning Washington wines while connecting with vintners. The train carries guests from the depot in Elbe, Washington to a historic Logging Museum. Once at the museum you’ll have a relaxing 90 minutes to visit sampling stations featuring Washington wineries and interact directly with the vintners and growers. Tickets include wine tastings throughout the train ride, 6 tasting tickets to use at the museum, a souvenir wine glass, live musical entertainment and a scrumptious meal at the museum complete with dessert.
Hard Cider Express
During the Hard Cider Express guests sip ciders featuring Pacific Northwest apples. In one afternoon guests enjoy cider, rails, and the forests and foothills! Sample various Washington cideries and converse with cidermakers. Board the train at the historic Elbe Depot, travel through the Nisqually Valley, cross rivers and streams in the foothills of Mt. Rainier. Enjoy a light sampling of ciders on the train. Once at the museum, full sampling stations will be set up. Visit each of the cideries to learn how they make their products. Several award-winning cideries are represented. Cidermakers are eager to tell the story of their process. Tickets include tastings throughout the excursion, a souvenir Mt. Rainier Railroad and Logging Museum commemorative glass, live musical entertainment, a scrumptious meal at the museum and dessert served during the train ride home.
Rails to Ales: The Oktoberfest Express
Taste various craft breweries using Pacific Northwest hops. Meet the brewers fermenting delicious beverages across Washington state. Sample various Washington craft beers and enjoy a great afternoon at the railroad. Select breweries from Washington will provide beers to sample. Beers sampled may include porters, stouts, IPA, Hefeweizens, sour ales, and witbiers. During the event, the train will stop at a historic logging museum where full sampling stations from breweries are waiting. Visit each of the breweries to learn how it is made. Several award-winning breweries will be represented and brewers are happy to tell you the story of their hops and their brewing process. Fares include tastings throughout the train ride, 6 tasting tickets to use at the museum, a souvenir tumbler, live musical entertainment and a scrumptious meal at the museum complete with dessert.
