Access the Sunrise area of the park via The White River Entrance located just off SR 410, the Chinook Scenic Byway. Near the entrance find White River Campground and several popular trailheads. Sunrise is 14 miles from the White River Entrance. At Sunrise, explore the Sunrise Visitor Center and Day Lodge. Find guided interpretive programs, book sales, and a picnic area as well as many trailheads for backcountry exploration. The road to Sunrise closes due to snowfall in mid-October and reopens in late June/early July. Year-round recreation activities abound at nearby Crystal Mountain Resort.
