Timber River Cabin

Timber River Cabin is a two-bedroom vacation rental with a hot tub, and a view of the foothills

This rustic cabin accommodates up to four adults with two private bedrooms.

Bedroom #1 is a traditional guest room with a queen size bed. Bedroom #2 is unique, it has a sleeping loft with a queen size bed. Guests who stay in Bedroom #2 will need to be able to climb a steep set of ladder-like stairs to access the bed. Both of the bedrooms have walls and doors providing guests with privacy. Given the ladder-like steps, this unit is not suitable for young children or guests with limited mobility. 

The main floor features a living room, dining area, kitchen, and bathroom

The inviting décor has a subtle nod to the past with historical photos, a vintage stove in the kitchen, an antique sewing machine table, and a few old-fashioned logging tools on display. There’s ample space to prepare snacks and meals in the kitchen. The living room has a tv connected to Chromecast plus a small library of books about the local area. Hardwood floors gleam during the day as natural daylight streams through the windows. The bathroom has a shower (no tub).

Guests can enjoy a relaxing soak in a hot tub under the stars 

The hot tub is situated on a private stone grotto surrounded by ferns, Evergreen conifers, Douglas fir, and western hemlock. With a 2.5-acre lot, it’s easy to feel like you’re the only people in the valley. On a clear day, the peak of Mount Rainier is visible from the deck. Take the cabin’s hammock and walk down a private trail to the Nisqually River. Relax to the sounds of the glacial waters and keep an eye out for the local elk herd known to cross the river at dusk. This cabin was built with locally sourced hand-milled trees.
