The City of Enumclaw hosts Sundays on Cole every Sunday from mid-July to the end of August
Each summer, on Sundays on Cole the street fills with local vendors, a relaxing firepit area, and live music. In 2022, popular local bands like Chicken Wire, CJQ, Billy Shew, Jimmy Vegas, Paul Johnson, and more wonderful artists performed live music from 12:00-4:00 PM. People sat around firepits and enjoyed bands performing on stage. The bands brought so much love and pride into their performances. The artist’s enthusiasm got people up dancing and singing along to the music.
Visitors can shop for food, clothing, local artists, and jewelry
Residents and visitors from all over get to experience restaurants, bars, and wineries. It’s a fun experience to stroll through town to see what the incredible vendors had to offer.
One week, the City had a car show, where car lovers were able to show their cars. There were many different types of trucks, from semi-truck, pick-up trucks, and fire trucks. Trucks, vintage cars, and police cars were on display. Kids had fun being able to sit inside these amazing cars while the owners talked about their prized vehicles.
Sundays on Cole also had one week where Plateau Free Helmet Campaign came out and handed out helmets to young kids for the Helmet Campaign. This event taught kids how important it is to wear a helmet while riding. Many games were placed around the street throughout Sundays on Cole, like a huge chess and checkerboard, bean bag toss, a seating area for chess, and large Jenga-style blocks.
At the end of the event, local business owners host a special dinner. Business owners put together rows of tables and chairs along the street. The tables are decorated beautifully with linens, vases of flowers, and pitchers of lemonade. The special community dinner brings nearly 300 people together for a delicious meal!
