Mt. Rainier

Getting one’s arms around Mt. Rainier can be a challenge. Not only are there some 2,800 square miles of ground to cover but there are also a myriad of attractions and recreational opportunities. In order to help visitors better navigate ‘The Mountain,’ Visit Rainier has launched a comprehensive website visitrainier.com, which is maintained by working closely with the National Park Service and area visitor information centers to make planning a day trip, weekend getaway or multi-week vacation easier.

Features of the Visit Rainier (visitrainier.com) website include the following:

The Longmire Wilderness Center at Mount Rainier National Park is open from May 25 thru October 8 from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
White River entrance
White River Wilderness Information Center open 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM every day until Monday, October 8th.

The Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center located at Paradise in Mount Rainier National Park is Open year-round. Weekends only in winter (generally October-May). Current Hours: May 5 - June 15: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm daily June 16 - July 1: 10:00 pm - 7:00 pm daily.

The Carbon River Ranger Station is located on the Carbon River Road 5.5 miles east of the Mowich Lake (SR165) junction.
