Entrance fees to be waived for all visitors

As part of celebrating Veterans Day on November 11, which honors all U.S.
military veterans, active members of the U.S. armed forces and their families, entrance fees to Mount Rainier National Park will be waived for all park visitors.

This annual Fee Free Day is an interagency event. The National Park Service will participate in celebrating this event with all other Department of Interior bureaus and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service in waiving entrance fees for the day.

The Longmire Museum will be open on that day as well as the National Park
Inn which offers dining, lodging and a gift shop. The Henry M. Jackson Memorial Visitor Center at Paradise will not be open, however, the road to Paradise will be open (weather permitting). Many local businesses in the communities surrounding the park will also be open for business.

Visitors are advised that weather and road conditions
in the park can change quickly this time of year,and they should be
prepared for possible winter driving conditions. All vehicles should
carry tire chains. Current road and weather conditions can be obtained by calling
the park at 360-569-2211, then Press 1.

The Nisqually Entrance (southwest entrance) is the main access to the park
during this season and remains open year round. Additional park
