Harvest the Fun Weekend

Crisp autumn nights and vibrant fall colors beckon families and visitors from far and near to forests of Mount Rainier. This season treat yourself to more than a day trip and enjoy a harvest-themed getaway to Mount Rainier National Park and the National Park Inn.  

Friday, October 19th and 26th: Pumpkin carving at the National Park Inn 5 pm – 7 pm. Get inspired by fall colors and the sights of the National Park while you put your creative spin on your own pumpkin carving. Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided by the National Park Inn.

Saturday, October 20th and 27th: Guided Lantern walks depart from the patio of the National Park Inn at 7 pm but please plan your arrival at or just before 6:45 pm. Bundle up to take in nature and get in the spirit with a Ranger guided lantern walk on the Trail of the Shadows in the historic Longmire District. Lanterns will be provided but bring your rain gear and dress in layers as this walk will be held rain or shine. Walks are limited to 25 people and are open to all park visitors. Satisfy your hunger with a special fall-inspired menu including warm apple cider; Pumpkin Soup; Pumpkin Ravioli, Fried Sage with Walnuts in Brown Butter Sauce; Chicken Wild Rice, Squash, and Pumpkin Purée; and of course, Pumpkin Pie.
