Article Length

Articles tend to perform best at 300 or more words.

Photos

Ideally the article will have a hero image 1600 x 500 pixels, 400kb and one supporting image. The supporting image has more flexibility in terms of size. 400 x 220 pixels or 900 x 1200 are accepted.

Videos

Video files will need to be reviewed. Please send a YouTube, Facebook, or Vimeo link for review.

Guest Author Profile

Please include the first and last name, short bio, and photo of the author.

Links

Accepted links include URLS that are relevant. Specifically, links to travel blogs that include more content about the Mount Rainier area, or related content. For example, the Pacific Crest Trail has a section in the Mount Rainier area. A guest blog post written about a hiker’s experience on the PCT in our area is welcome. An appropriate link to the hiker’s website with more posts about the rest of their PCT journey is a good fit. Another example would be an article written about driving the Chinook Scenic Byway or White Pass Scenic Byway – with a link to a website with more information about other scenic byway trips.

Paid Content

Guest blog posts are unpaid at this time. As a nonprofit tourism marketing organization Visit Rainier does not have the budget for paid guest blog posts.
