Event Details

Celebrate the 21st anniversary of Rainier to Ruston

The annual event is a PNW classic featuring 50-ish miles, Sasquatch, beautiful scenery, and lots of fired-up runners. Each spring hundreds of runners happily pile into vehicles in the dark of the wee small morning hours. Crammed into rigs with snacks, and lots of gear runners make their way to the starting line to compete to win coveted railroad spikes for various award categories.

Craft beer garden, grilled cheese, and bragging rights await at the finish line along with epic views of Mount Rainier and the Ruston waterfront. Get a souvenir photo with Sasquatch and a bell stand in the beautiful Ruston area.

Lace-up your shoes and start training. This challenging relay race (or endurance run) takes you from the base of Mount Rainier to the cool, grassy waterfront of Tacoma. All proceeds go towards to the purchase and maintenance of the trail system. Foothills Rails to Trails Coalition, a local, non-profit invites runners to help them finish the trail!
