LOCATION:  East of Chinook Pass summit, SR Highway 410; Milepost 88.4

SEASON:  Generally open late May – late September


This campground has an upper section and a lower section and offers barrier-free sites. It is located on the south shore of Bumping Lake with a boat launch located at the lower campground. (source)  Bumping Lake is noted for fine fishing with Rainbow, Cutthroat, Whitefish, and Silvers.


 

Q: How far is Bumping Lake Campground from the Stevens Canyon Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park? 

A: It’s approximately a 45-mile / 1 hour and 21 minutes drive from the campground to that specific park entrance. 

Q: Are there hookups at Bumping Lake? 

A: No, there are not. Each campsite is equipped with a table and campfire ring with a grill. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided, but no hookups are available.
