About Buchanan’s Bunkhouse:
The Bunkhouse has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Upon entering the bunkhouse the first thing you’ll notice is soaring 30-foot vaulted pine ceilings and gleaming alder plank floors. The living room is light, bright, and airy with a wood stove for added ambiance. The main floor has a kitchen with a microwave, gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, popcorn maker, toaster, blender, pots & pans, baking dishes, serving platters, and table linens. The dining table seats 10 people. The living room area has a television and two futons. There is one bedroom on this level with another futon and two bunk beds. The bunk beds do not have ladders, so younger kids may need to use the lower bunks or have assistance getting up into the upper bunks. The downstairs bathroom has the only shower in the vacation rental.
The second floor features 2 master bedrooms each with a queen-sized bed. There is one shared bathroom with a toilet, sink, and jetted tub. One of the master bedrooms has a private deck.
The backyard features a fire pit and covered a-frame saltwater hot tub that can accommodate up to 7 people. This open-air hot tub structure overlooks the firepit. The open-air hot tub has a roof and 3 walls to protect guests from rainy and windy weather. It can feel magical to sit in the saltwater hot tub in the winter and watch snowflakes fall. Guests of the bunkhouse can enjoy a game of horseshoes, sit fireside, spend time on one of the spacious decks, or enjoy a soak in one of the hot tubs.
About the location:
Located in Ashford, Washington on a lot nearly 2-acres in size with old-growth cedar, a seasonal creek, and a lawn area. Lined with alder trees and lush ferns the forested yard feels private despite being conveniently located off of State Route 7. Buchanan’s Bunkhouse is within walking distance of the Nisqually River and Gifford-Pinchot National Forest. And did we mention this vacation rental is only 200 yards from the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainier National Park? The bunkhouse is 77 miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
