What Are the Biggest Cabins Out By Rainier?

Q: We have a large family. We need a big cabin or vacation rental to accommodate at least ten of us for a few nights. Help? 

 

When it comes to lodging in the Mount Rainier area cabins and vacation rentals come in a variety of sizes. Keep in mind that cabins and vacation rentals are independently owned and operated. Expect different policies and pricing. Most cabins require a 2-night minimum stay. Listed below are the larger cabins in the Mt. Rainier area in order of occupancy each of these cabins can accommodate your whole kit and caboodle.

The Large Lodge – Sleeps approximately 20 people. This unit has 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 6 full-size beds, and 9 twins. This large cabin (4,000 square feet) also has a commercial-grade kitchen, seating for 20, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom on the main floor and 5 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom on the upper floor. In Ashford, WA near the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. 

 

 

 


Bunkhouse at Packwood Station

The Bunkhouse at Historic Packwood Station sleeps up to 20 people in 12 bedrooms with 14 beds and 2 bathrooms. Stay where rangers, trail crews and riders, and forest firefighters stayed for decades! Located in Packwood close to the Stevens Canyon Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park. 

 

 

 

 


Dancing Bear LodgeDancing Bear Lodge – Comfortably accommodates 18 people, but can be pushed to a maximum of 22 people if needed. This vacation rental has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 5 king-size beds, 3 queen beds, and 2 twins. This spacious unit (3,300 square feet) is located on 2 private acres near a creek. Comprised of the main house and a second building called the Bonus Area, the lodge sleeps 18 people comfortably with 6 private bedrooms, 2 additional sleeping areas, and 3 bathrooms. The Bonus area is connected to the main house by a breezeway and features a large social room with a pool table as well as two bedrooms. The whole family can enjoy dinner together at a long 16 person table in the large sunroom. The outdoor area includes two decks, a large patio table and chairs, a stone patio with a fire pit, and a hot tub. Located in Ashford, WA.


Copper Creek LodgeCopper Creek Lodge – Sleeps 12: This log cabin was built in 1919 and has 4 private bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 queen-size bed, 2 king beds, 6 twins. There’s a piano in the living room next to the stone fireplace. 1 King bedroom has an in-room bathroom. A queen bedroom is right next to the hall bathroom. A king loft bedroom also has a single, and the sleeping porch has 4 singles. There is also a twin in the loft overlooking the living room. The lodge is located next to a creek, walking trails, and forested areas. It is also a short walking distance from the Copper Creek Inn and restaurant. Guests of the cabin have access to a private hot tub, which next to the cabin under a gazebo and can be used rain or shine year-round. Located in Ashford.
