Alexander’s Lodge, historic inn built in 1912.

Approximately 1.3 miles from the Nisqually Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, Alexander’s Lodge is on Washington state Route 706 in Ashford, Washington. Built over 115 years ago, the historic country inn has been restored and renovated over the years. (Fun fact, Teddy Roosevelt reportedly stayed at the historic inn.)

Today all of the guest rooms have private baths, high-definition television (HDTV) and DVD players. Wi-Fi and free self-parking are available. If you want a standard hotel room, this isn’t the place for you. Alexander’s Lodge offers a distinctive experience. The architecture is quirky and rooms are uniquely shaped. The lodge grounds enhance the guest experience. Guests enjoy exploring the area outside of the lodge. The grounds feature a trout pond stocked with fish, a patio and a trail that winds through the grounds.

Enjoy glamping?

Alexander’s has two small rustic yurts with access to a shared bath. Please note, there are no televisions in the yurts. Folks who want more space and the comforts of home may want to consider booking the Chalet at Alexander’s Lodge. The chalet is a 2-story vacation rental with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

There are many popular activities including visiting Mount Rainier National Park.

You’ll be close to the Nisqually Entrance (open year-round) of Mount Rainier National Park. Via the Nisqually Entrance guests can enjoy year-round activities such as scenic drives, hiking, snowshoeing, birdwatching, and stargazing. In addition to the national park, there are many additional seasonal activities nearby in Elbe, Eatonville, and Ashford.
